11/24/2024 - Theology of Isaiah #5: God as Savior and Redeemer. As the two roles of King and Judge are related, so also is God as Savior and Redeemer, not only in the national sense of Israel, but especially as the one who saves and redeems his elect from their sins.

11/10/2024 - Theology of Isaiah #4: God as King and Judge. As Creator, God is the great King of all, and exercises rule even though men are unaware of it. He also is the Judge of all the earth, and brings punishments on nations as well as individuals. But he is also King over his people, and exercises mercy toward us. We should be willing,  repentant, and thankful sons in his kingdom,

10/13/2024 - Theology of Isaiah #3: Titles of God. Isaiah repeatedly refers to God as "the Holy One of Israel", and "the Mighty One of Israel" (or simply "the Almighty". These titles show is much not only of who God is, but how we should live.

9/29/2024 - Theology of Isaiah #2: God as Creator and Maker of all things in the universe, and how he is the ONLY God who exists, and is the Glorious One.

9/22/2024 - Theology of Isaiah #1: The Names of God. It is amazing to see how much we could know about God and his workings if we only had the book of Isaiah. It is good that we don't, but this series will show what Isaiah reveals about God. This first lesson concerns the names of God: El, Elohim, Adonai, and YHWH (Yahweh). It explains why they are translated the way they are, and where "Jehovah" came from, and why it is not really a proper name of God.

9/8/2024 - True Revival. We obviously need revival in our nation and communities, but what is revival? What is the difference between individual revival and the revival in a society that sometimes occurs that "turns the world upside down"? What does revival mean in the life of a Christian? How does it start? How can we "wake up"?

(This was preached as the regular sermon at New Life Covenant Church instead of the usual Sunday School lesson.)

8/25/2024 - Triple Clean: Physical cleanness, spiritual cleanness, and mental cleanness. Their distinctions and interconnections.

8/11/2024 - Soul-Searching: 2 Chr. 7:14 says God's people are to humble themselves, pray, seek his face, and turn from their wicked ways. We may at first think we have no "wicked ways", that we are saved and try to confess sins when necessary. But perhaps we need to examine ourselves, and ask God to reveal to us any "secret sins" that we are not aware of. We pray that God would search us and know our hearts and thoughts, so we can turn and be cleansed. We need personal revival, and if we all do this individually, perhaps the God will indeed hear from heaven, forgive our sin, and heal our land.
