3/16/2025 - Studies in Malachi #3, Judgment Will Come; Serving God is Not in Vain.   Next in this series is the people's offense of denying evil, and that God will really judge it, and then saying that to serve God is vain and profitless. Also there is a look at seven specific sins they are accused of.

3/9/2025 - Studies in Malachi #2, Issues of Marriage: Continuing with the offenses of the people against God. First, the sin of intermarrying with the heathen, and secondly, the associated problem of "dealing treacherously with the wife of thy youth" by divorce. We see the importance of staying free from entanglements that would lead us into spiritual decline and idolatry, and also the necessity of being true to our marriage covenant

2/23/2025 - Studies in Malachi #1: An introduction to Malachi, and then various observations on the offenses of Israel against God, in chapters 1 and 2, with lessons we can apply to ourselves.

2/9/2025 - Guided Unto Glory #3: An exposition of Rom. 8:28-30 where it shows the divine plan in a succession of foreordination, predestination, calling, justification, and glorification.

1/26/2025 - Hindrances to Receiving the Baptism in the Holy Spirit: Several reasons why some people do not receive, or refuse to accept the validity of this experience. This is an attempt to clear up some confusion about the matter.

1/19/2025 - Guided Unto Glory #2: An exposition of the second half of Psalm 73:24 - "Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory." The encouragement  and hope we have of ultimately being received into God's glory.

1/12/2025 - Guided Unto Glory #1: An exposition of the first half of Psalm 73:24 - "Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory." How can we be guided by God's counsel?

12/29/2024 - Theology of Isaiah #7: Isaiah revealed God as God, Lord, Yahweh, Creator and Maker of Israel and all else, the Holy One of Israel, the Mighty One of Israel (or, "the Almighty"), King and Judge, Savior and Redeemer. All these names and titles are proper descriptions of Jesus Christ, for "In him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead, bodily". The point of this message is to ask whether Jesus is all these things in our individual lives. Is there evidence that he is each of those things to us, or are we deceiving ourselves?

12/15/2024 - Theology of Isaiah #6: God's Person Revealed in Christ. In Jesus Christ dwells all the fulness of the Godhead bodily, and he is the express image of God's person. All the names (El, Elohim, Adonai, Yahweh) and titles of God that we saw previously in the book of Isaiah are attributed to Christ in the NT: Creator and Maker, the Holy One of Israel, the Mighty One of Israel, King, Judge, Savior, and Redeemer.
